The Invisible Woman

To fellow moms out there, if you have not seen the video called "The Invisible Woman" by Nicole Johnson, you have to check it out on You Tube. It is incredibly inspiring and encouraging! I am unfortunately not tech-savvy enough to figure out how to post it on my page... sorry! ;o)

Trip to Branson

Early this month, we took a trip to Branson with Ryan's parents, brother and his family. The weather was really pretty the whole week so we did a lot of playing outside, wagon rides, and playing at parks. Mostly we just had fun being together.
Please excuse Evan and his mother.... he won't smile on command and I haven't pressed the issue! ;o) We should probably consider working on it though.
Grandpa, Evan, and Uncle Todd
One night Nonnie baked some cookies and she had all the good stuff to decorate with! We made little turkies... how fitting! ;o)

The Park

Since the weather is finally so beautiful here, we have hit the parks as often as we can! Evan loves it and has a ball running all around, climbing and sliding. It's fun to watch him.

Swinging with Daddy... he has more lap than I do these days. ;o)

Pumpkin Poking?

Mimi found a great way to decorate a pumpkin this year. Just poke in the "potato head" parts and you're done. Evan had fun pulling the pieces out and swapping them all around. Thank you, Mimi!

Cutting Cake

We decided to have a little fun while finding out the gender of this baby. This morning we had an ultrasound and had the gender written on a piece of paper sealed in an envelope. Then I took it to a bakery and had them bake a cake - chocolate for boy, white with strawberry filling if it's a girl. Chocolate icing on top either way.

Several of our family were with us tonight and we all found out together! It was really a fun way to announce it. My Grandy (baby's great grandmother) cut the cake. Chocolate it was - Evan will have a baby brother!

Zoo with Daisy

Today Mindy and I took the kids to the zoo. They did really well and we had a great time walking and talking. We definitely don't get to see them often enough. The highlight for the little ones was probably getting to play on the playground that is just their size!
If you can imagine with a 12 month old and almost 18 month old, getting them together in the same picture is almost impossible, without one crying because it's not what they wanted to do at the moment. ;o)

Alora and Nathaniel

My dear friend Alora and her youngest son, Nathaniel came to visit this past weekend. It was so great to have them here! My favorite part of the weekend, believe it or not, involved waking up at 6 am. Now that we are both moms, to get some good time together minus babies means waking up early. We enjoyed a cup of our favorite coffee on our backporch with a slice of banana bread. What a treat! I love you guys!

On a sad note, my good friend Brittany who had been staying with us for about the last month left for California on Sunday. She has been such a blessing to me and our family and I am sad to see her go. Evan loves her (and Drew!) so much. We have all missed her and pray the best as she seeks God's will during her last semester in seminary.

The Great State Fair

Last Thursday we went to the fair with Grandpa and Nonnie. The weather was so nice and we all had a great time. Three generations of Stewards...
At the petting zoo - the goats were a hit with Evan.
And what trip to the fair would be complete without getting to sit on a tractor!?
My favorite thing was the Agtropolis Building where the kids can basically learn to be a little farmer. From planting, to picking, and taking crops to market. They get paid with paper money that buys candy at the general store. Evan, however would have rather had the plastic fruits and vegetables and refused to wear these cute little aprons. He was upset when he had to give the basket back.

Children's Day Out

Evan went to his first day at Children's Day Out. He did so great! Not even a fuss when I dropped him off, just dropped his "be be" at the door and went right in. He ate his lunch, slept for an hour on his nap mat, and didn't cry. When I came to pick him up, he grabbed his "box" and walked all the way to the car carrying it. I think he got a little bigger today. Good thing there is a baby on the way. ;o)

These are some new shoes from Mimi, which I think are so cute! The pants however, were my purchase and are still a little big.

Flocked

Here's a video from this morning. We got flocked by a local high school pom squad for a fundraiser. Notice my brain fart...
